Considered a serious chance of success in the 2015 Golden Slipper, Ottoman ($2.50) has opened as and maintained status as outright favourite in 2015 Silver Slipper betting markets ahead of Headwater ($3.60), Paceman ($3.80) and Holler ($5.50) with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au.

Will Ottoman continue her perfect career start through the 2015 Silver Slipper Stakes, or will one of her classy rivals find the line in the clear?

Paceman ($3.80)

While allocated the somewhat wide barrier 7, Paceman has taken particularly well to work in the lead-up to his racing return and is more than worth consideration for a Silver Slipper Stakes bet at current odds. Jumping from the gates well in his only start so far, the Appin Plate (1100m) on November 15th, Paceman was settled in ideal position on the heels of the race’s early leaders before exploding late to comfortably win. Confirmed to be partnered by leading jockey Hugh Bowman, all signs seem to point towards a Silver Slipper win for Paceman.

Ottoman ($2.50)

Similarly to Paceman, Ottoman will have to overcome a wide barrier in the 2015 Silver Slipper Stakes, but is one of the classiest horses in the small field and is a leading chance for success. Charging home to take out a minor over 1100m on debut ahead of a classy field, Ottoman is one of Godolphin Australia’s biggest hopes of two-year-old success this year and will be difficult to beat with just 54.5kgs.

Headwater ($3.60)

Team Hawkes saddled Mossfun to success in the 2014 edition of the Silver Slipper, and are aiming to make it two in as many years when Headwater lines up for the Group 2 race on Saturday. Displaying great gate speed to immediately find the fore of the field and lead from start to finish in the Cactus Imaging Plate (1000m) in debut in December, Headwater will leave from the ideal barrier 4 with in-form hoop Blake Shinn aboard this weekend.
